Another thread on drum grades

Ok, I have decided to go down the road of doing the grades. I think the best way of going about it is to get a teacher to assess my playing and then advise me what level I should be starting at, then get the book and go from there. So if anybody knows anybody who does this in the Santry/ Glasnevin area or in town please let me know.

Also, at the minute, I am leaning towards doing the Rockschool ones, but if anyone can advise me either way that would be great.

Cheers,
Ronan

I'm not from that area so can't help you out with a teacher, but I do have Rockschool Grade 8.

Can you read music? If you can, you can teach yourself the whole Rockschool grades without any intervention from a teacher. That's what I did.

And you'll know yourself what level to start at.

Have you any specific questions?
